Earthquakes

This morning there was an earthquake. It felt big and the TV was shaking at my house. In class we read about earthquakes and talked about what to do if there is an earthquake at school. Here is my poster showing what we should do when there is an earthquake.

  2. Hi, my name is Anyah I am a year 8 student at Paihia School in Te Ngahere. I liked how you added a poster to share to others to show what to do in a earthquake because in some places they don’t have earthquakes. In Paihia here we don’t really have earthquakes here but I know that earthquakes cause alot of damage to objects in places. How many earthquakes have you been in? We have alot of tsunami drills here because we are near the ocean.

  3. Kia ora Johannes my name is Gail and I am currently a year 7 student in Te Ngahere. I just finished reading your blog post about earthquakes and the precautions you can take to try prevent harm to yourself. I really liked how your presentation had graphics that could show you which positions to put yourself in to cause less harm. Where i’m commenting from which is far Northland we don’t get many earthquakes but it’s still really good to know the precautions just incase.
Have you ever experienced an earthquake yourself?
